Rosemary is a medicinal plant that is native to the Mediterranean region and is grown all over the world. Its scientific name is Rosmarinus officinalis L. In addition to being used therapeutically, it is frequently used as a condiment and dietary preservation. The phytocompounds that make up R. officinalis L. are bioactive molecules that perform out a variety of pharmacological functions, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, antiproliferative, anticancer, and protective, inhibitory, and attenuating ones. Hence, in vivo and in vitro research examining the therapeutic and preventative benefits of R. officinalis L. on a few physiological illnesses brought on by biochemical, chemical, or biological agents was described in this Review. Methodology, processes, findings, and conclusions were described in this way. The main goal of this study was to demonstrate that plant products may be used in place of existing medications.
